That one is just like the LL TEK bar.

Both are rigid as all heck and had issues with battery terminal interference and breaking the hood washers on early models. PureMS bar is better in part due to multi mounting areas. I'm glad I sold off the LL TEK bar.

yeah it's meant for 99 and earlier models because of the headlight washers

I know plenty of people who run them with no issues with battery or brake fluid res.

I have a 1997 and bought that bar right after it was released.

and it indeed had known issues that were talked about in these forums early on. That is why many of us sold the bar to other AW members to get rid of it. The OMP bar is really the same thing, just a copy. The PureMS bar is superior in design. Notice where the headlight washers are located on the 99 and older A4's in comparison to 2000- A4's. How would that bar hit the washers on the newer B5's? That statement confuses me. The PureMS bar is definately a better bar in comparison. I asked a few tuners about the Lltek bar and OMP, every one of them said leave it off the car it is crap. My car actually improved after I removed that bar. It's not surprising if you look how it mounts to only one of the upper bolts. There must be a reason why you are selling yours also.

I've seen it in person on a couple of friend's cars, a 19981.8T, a 12V

perhaps it depends on the batter they have, who knows. But I've seen it fit with no problems and the people liked it. I have a bar similar to the pure MS except it's not made of aluminum.

I have the OEM battery. It was a matter of working on some, but not all.

Trust me, the bar you have now is much better than that old style bar.

Are there any other strut bars that fit early models A4s besides omp and lltek??

I've got one of these on my 99.5

with the windshield washers under the hood. No problems with it breaking the washers. It does touch the underside of the hood though so I had to pad it a bit so it wouldn't make noise.
