Stutter/RPM fluctuation

Stutter/RPM fluctuation
Hi,
I've got a strange problem with my 2000 A4 1.8TQ Tip that seems to be getting more noticeable. While I'm driving under 30 MPH, the RPMs will bounce and fluctuate on their own (movement around 1 notch on the gauge). I am not moving my foot at all, just going at a constant speed. Sometimes if I'm pulling into a driveway and barely have my foot on the gas, the car will begin to stutter a little bit. I'm thinking that this is the same issue as the RPMs moving on their own. Idle is just fine. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Fuel injection problem? Misfire? I've recently changed out my BPV and taken out my GIAC chip to bring my car back to stock. Neither helped. I'm taking the car out for a long summer trip next week and I am a little concerned.
Thanks for the help!
John
