Suspension Question

Ok, I admit I know next to nothing about cars but having bought a new A4 and reading here I am wanting to learn more. I do not have the sport suspension on my car. However I like the look of the 18" wheels. I know if I put 18" wheels on my car it will look like there is a huge gap. So my question is can I change the suspension on my A4 to the sport suspension? If so where and how much?

Thanks guys!

Yes you can. Check the classifieds. They are on there all the time.

Re: Suspension Question

You could change to stock sport, but for the same amount or maybe less get a stiffer and lower than stock sport suspension. You would need shocks, springs, and sway bars. The cost of OEM stuff would be quite high. Or you could find all the parts from someone who went from stock sport to all aftermarket...

answer....

yes you can change to sport suspension. And that would probably be your least expensive route since you could probably get the components used from one of many people on this board who have removed their sport suspensions and installed more aggressive aftermarket ones.

Cost varies. Expect to drop at least $300 for used parts, then another $200 to $500 for install, depending on where you go.

AnnapolisA4, Why would you change the shocks too? So you wouldnt have to in the long run?

Would I not have to? The car only has about 4000 miles on it. I just wanted it to be lover so it looks good with 18" wheels
