Suspension/steering problem. Please read...
Hi all. Yesterday, when getting in my car, I notice a creaking sound coming from the front driver's side of the car as I sat down. It was cold, so I didn't think too much of it (cold cars make odd noises, I guess). Well, as I pulled out with my window down, I heard the noise again, this time as I turned the steering wheel and began to move. I also notices a sound from the steering mechanism that happened when I turned the wheel. I realize this is kind of ambiguous, but I'm not sure what exactly is going on. Has anyone else experienced this?

Ever heard of
Take it in to your dealer. I, and many others, have had the bushings replaced on the control arms as a result of creaking. Its not as serious as it is a nuisance. I think they fixed this problem on MY '99 and above. Aud Man Out 1.8TQMS (no creaking) |
Sounds like lower control arm bushing problem. Common problem...dealer will replace the LCA.
