Time for new battery??
My car('97 QM 12v 93K) sat for 2 1/2 days and my battery is dead(less than 8 on v meter when @ "on" position). Is this normal or is it time for a new battery.
Don't know how old the battery(Autozone battery) is(had car for 1 year). But if i crank it every day, its fine; wait 24 to 48 hrs & it's near dead, if not, dead.
Does anyone experience this sort of battery drainage? I guess the battery can't support the alarm for that long? Or is this another problem?
STFA & I seem to be torn between the Die Hard International & Interstate MTP-91? I'm leaning towards the MTP, but I would really appreciate some feedback.
But before i get ahead of myself: Does this rapid battery drainage mean it's time is up?
TIA

I have gone 2 weeks without starting my Audis and never had a problem starting.
That's with a good battery and alternator.
You're correct the alternator only charges the battery when the engine is running. Chances are, your present battery is bad, probably one dead cell.
