Default Timer trouble................

I just TRIED installing a greddy Turbo Timer in my car and before I finshed I wanted to make sure that everything in the car worked properly. But of course with my luck, it didn't. The A/C fan will not kick in, and my fog lights won't turn on. I followed the instructions on the tech section exactly how they're written. Please if you've gone through the same trouble, help me out

Thanks

Default Are your wipers out too? You may have shorted the load reduction relay.

Load reduction relay is a relay that cuts power to major voltage accessories while the car is starting, to give the starter max voltage. If it's blown a lot of accessories won't work.

Did you follow JamesR's FAQ?

Default Haven't checked the wipers...................

But thanks. Do you know how to test the relay and where its located. and yes I did follow JamesR's FAQ. The problem is that the climate control screen turns on but the fan wont blow.

Thanks for your input. I'll start working on that.

Default Pretty sure that's what it is.

I blew mine when I did my TT install too (not sure how - I was also doing a stereo install at the same time)

You can either take the relay out and resolder the switch, or get a new one. (don't have the P# handy - sorry)

Default Ya that's why I'm guessing that's what's wrong with yours. Same symptoms.

As I mentinoed in my post above, I fixed the relay by resoldering it. You should probably just buy a new one. (less than $50 I presume)

Default Seems that I'm having a bigger problem....

My Relay is ok (I tested it) but the Black/Yellow wire that leads to 75X is not getting power (12V). I checked this with both the key in and out and the car on and it never gets juice.

Thanks
