timing question

If you already know the timing on the crank is off by who knows how much maybe a little, maybe a lot, Is there a way to find the proper alignment for the crank with the cam timing mark on a 1.8T AWM?

What do you mean? The crank is generally the reference point so it can't really be off. Are you saying that the cam is out of time with crank? Use the timing marks to reset the belt correctly.

Yes the cam is out of timing with the crank and I dont trust that if the crank pulley and the cam marks are in line its timed properly since when I went back to check my work again, the timing marks were both on yet cel said intake camshaft position timing - over advanced bank 1

On a side note, does the timing belt tensioner, after pulling the pin, a one time use tensioner since I cant find a way to push it back in?

You can put it in a vice and push it back in....slowly. Push it till there's real resistance, then wait 5 minutes, then push some more. Keep it up till you can get the pin back in. But go slowly or you ruin it.
