Default Tire Q's: Is it normal for fronts to wear faster than rears? Those with Falken ZE512's...

how long are they tires lasting for you, with average driving (once in a while aggressive)? I've done 15,000 miles on these and they look like they only got 5000 left to go.

Should the front and rear tires be lasting the same? Maybe it has to do with the tire pressure? I go 36 pounds all around. I have 205/55/16's.

normal. Most of the load is on the front wheels esp during deceleration.

Thanks. How long should the tires last? 20000 miles seems low, even for high perf all seas tires.

Default 2000 to 40,000 - all depends on the tire and the nut behind the wheel

20K to 30K is fine.

understeer should account for some of the front tire wear also..

Default you might want to get the alignment checked

I burnt up a set of Toyos in ~12Kmiles because the rear alignment was out.

Default How can you tell. Would there be a sign of that on the tires?

i thought bad alignment results in uneven tire wear, like too much wear on the inside of the tire or something. mine didn't seem to have that problem.

Default It can wear unevenly, but mine wore fairly evenly.....

it was like they were vertically aligned, but the toe wasn't set correctly or something. I don't remember right now, but I can tell you this: It's a lot cheaper to find out your alignment is/isn't ok by going to a shop rather than buying a new set of Toyo Proxes after burnign them up in 12K miiles.
