tranny problems....
heres what happened: i was driving down the high way at 65mph<55speed limit> and i went to pass a car in a rather small opening so i downshifted. i was trying to find 3rd when i more or less found 1st.... boy did i feel like a moron when i couldn't put it in any gear at all... well i had to get her towed home at 1:30 in the morning. went to start it the day after and it idles really hard- like shakes the whole car (never did that before)- and when i try put it in gear there is a horrible metal on metal grinding sound. and when i get it in gear and release the clutch(which is super spongy now and nothing like it should be) it doesn't go anywhere...even when i get on the gas...
i had a ASE certified buddy of mine take a look over it and he said it could be the whole tranny or just likke the clutch and related breakable parts. now i have yet to take the tranny out and actually see if there is a clutch or parts of a clutch laying around in there... but my question is what do you guys think it might be.... i'm obviously hoping it's just clutch or something not so expensive... cuz i'm looking to rims in the next month cuz i gots a local car show to be in by july 10. answer back with anything... looking for any help here
BTW... ASE = ask somebody else, as that usually means they dont do to well with european cars, something about the inherent level of complexity that comes with european cars...
Technically your car is totaled now.
well done.
