Trans Problems
I recently installed an apr stage 3 kit and an apr clutch kit. Now I can't shift into third gear hard without hearing the transmission protest by grinding. I think the syncro is going out. has anyone had trans work done under warranty with engine mods? I was told that it would cost about 2000 to fix this problem. ouch!

Can I ask how you drive your car? Do beat on it? I only ask..
Because I'm doing the same mods as you very soon. The syncro is just going bad on it's own? Or after having all that power 
it broke? just curious. About the dealer, just see what they say. Or you can try to find an audi mechanic, should be cheaper that the "Stealer" . Good luck.

My mechanic told me that the stuff that I put on there has nothing to do with the syncro going bad. He said that they are prone to that. He also said that when you run through the gears like your in a race it wears the syncro out faster. So no I done religiously beat up the car but I do like to have some fun. I think that the guy that owned it before me was hard on it. I would recomend doing the mods. The car is amazing. You might want to check with AWE for a clutch or ask around about it mine rattles when idling especially when the a/c is ont and sounds like crap.

My car is in the shop right now getting the trani worked on
Its beennin there for 14 days!
Initially they told me that they would not cover the trani because I have a short shifter. After meeting with the district rep, they finally agreed to fix it. But I was warned that if I have a chip that they would not cover it under warranty.
Basically if you have mods, take them out!
