is trip computer fading related to heat?....
 

mine was fading over the hot summer weather...but now that it has cooled down..it seems fine! I wanted to have the dealer replace it...but now that it's fine they're probably not going to. Did any of you have it fade during colder weather? Thanks

My bose radio and dash display sometimes flicker once randomly...
 

And it's impossible to duplicate, which is why I've never even attempted having my dealer try to service it. I've noticed it more in the winter than the summer, but again it's rare. Must be an Audi thing, no one else would understand =)

Had mine fading due to heat...dealer replaced entire instrument cluster under warranty.

Mine only faded in the heat. 3 times it's been replaced. Works fine in the cold.

Mine had "pixel fade" (blocks of dim pixels) which was definitely worse with higher temperatures this summer. The dealer replaced the trip computer 3 weeks ago at the 37.5k service. Really, the problem seemed somewhat minor but the trend was in the wrong direction...
