Is it true that the dealer needs both keys in order to do the window-control-by-remote tweak in the control module?

Well Audi Canada..
yeah I won't risk anything. I was there for the 1 year/24,000 km maintenance , and actually it was my first pleasant experience with a service rep. We talked for a good 15 minutes about movies and theater (haha). They even removed the cell phone support from behind the wood console installed by the previous owner at no charge. So I guess this is as deserved an "excellent" as it will ever get.<p>

Yes, the relationship is the key...
If you find a service writer you like, hang with them and try to humanize the experience. They will be much more accommodating to you after that. This assumes, however, that each dealership has at least one good service writer. Based on forum responses, this is not always the case.

Not exactly.
On early cars, you need to 2 keys to program a new key fob. I can't remember the exact procedure, but it's something like turning a key in the driver's door with the ignition on and pressing the lock button, hence 2 keys. I don't think you can add features to this version, though.
