Default Turbo failure

Bah, seems I forgot to post my car problems on the board when they happened as everyone else does . My turbo failed on me. Wasdriving and then I heard the turbo spooling loudly. Went home, next morning brought it out to the dealer for a tech to go on a test drive with me. They said "Yep, turbo is making the sounds, you must have a 97."

Well estimated $1950 or so, dependingon the parts needed. Waiting for AoA to respond if they will assist (97 with 68700 miles). Been in the shop since 7/16, just found out they got shipped wrong oil supply lines. Car should be ready Monday.

Happened last August. Pulled out aggressively from stoplight on highway. Shifted to 2nd gear..loud popping sound..then no power, and very loud car. Took out the turbo and the cat converter. Took about 3 weeks to get fixed (ugh) and no, AoA didn't offer to help.

Just spent almost $2K last month on the car. Now the rear wheel bearings need replaced ($900) and I suspect I'm having tranny issues as well (take my suspicion for what it's worht, i'm no mechanic). But definitely something going on. This is why the car is going.

oh, i have 100K miles on it, mostly highway.

Default wheel bearings in the rear are 900 bucks?? sounds like something else is getting it in the rear!!

the bearings are not that expensive, and the labor shouldnt be either...you can do this in your driveway with a friend.
