Update on the flooded a4 that wont start.
Changed the oil, Dripped a tiny bit of oil in the cylinders, turned it to get good lubrication. Poped in the new plugs and gave it a turn.
Car sputtered right away and i thought for sure it was going to start but then died out fast then back to the normal cranking. GRRRR! |
Dude, buy a compression tester already
<center><img src="http://www.newcelica.org/other/installs/compression/DSC02263.jpg"></center><p>They are $20-30 at your local auto parts store, you may even be able to rent one from them.
You need to check the compression on each of your cylinders, and it needs to be 130+ before you want to reconnect the injectors and try to start it. If it's below that, you need to drip more oil into the cylinder until the compression goes up. |
For the love of Pete.
Pull plugs again. Pull fuse for fuel pump. Put more oil in cylinders. Spin engine over. Put more oil in cylinders. Spin engine over. Put spark plugs in car. Start engine. Spit, sputter, die.
Not put fuse back in. Crank engine over holding your foot to the floor. |
