UPSOLUTE PERFORMANCE CHIPS

Couple of guys I know have UP chips...
They are happy with them for the money, but I also think these guys areidiots at times. They went with UP because they had a local distributor to sort out problems should they arise.
Personally I don't like UP or their practices...when the ".8bar" chip was first released they touted it for it's low boost and high power output, that it would stress the engine less than other higher boost chips. Well some data logging later it comes out the chip is actually 0.9bar borderline 1.0, UP's repsonse is that they didn't do enough testing and erred in marketing. WTF? That inspires confidence in my purchase. Recently a very knowledgable person on Vortex joined the UP ranks and since I have yet to see anything come from him that isn't pro-UPsolute, unfortunately I have zero faith in what he has to say anymore. I've seen people experience problems after chipping such as surging and bad solder joints...ie the car will not start.
To me it just seems like you get what you pay for with them, and I'd rather drop some more $$ for APR, Neuspeed, etc...
