Vacuum problem

Default Vacuum problem

I have a Audi 1.8l 2001 A4 Quattro with the engine cod AWM
I replace the purge valve (jet valve) with a new one and when i start the engine the ETC light come up after 1 min.
The old purge valve has one of the exit tubs clogged but the car runs
Is the one that comes on the side of purge valve and the hose goes bellow the crankcase
Can anyone explain why the car runs with a bad valve but the new one deactivates the throttle from running

The purge valve is also caled as suction pump and is Y shape

Usually when the suction pump clogs up, it raises the pressure inside the engine and blows out the oil seals and gaskets. Have you tried replacing all the old vacuum lines in that same neighborhood? I did mine by buying a couple feet of vacuum hose and then just doing them one by one. Also check the PCV hose which also can crack and blow out.

Thank you for your respond.I did not change none off the lines but i did check all the valves to make sure they work
I replace the PCV with a new one and i felt
a big change on the boost
If i do a smoke test will that help me to find the problem ?
The weird part is that, the car runs with a bad jet valve and when i try to explain to the dealers or private mechanics they keep repeat themselves with the question if i install it the right way .
The way the lines are ,u cant reverse the jet valve when u try to insatll it
