I had the common vanity mirror light failure, and it wasn't the bulb, so I bought a new visor from Shokan. When I took the old visor off, I found that one black wire had come loose from the little spade/lug connector tucked up by the sunvisor support rod.

I thought I could solder the little connector back on but I'm not that good.

So I just swapped the little black connector assembly with the one from my Shokan visor.

The part number on that little connector is
8D0 972 643.

Not sure if it can be purchased separately, but that would be a good cheap fix if that's the problem you have. Works like a charm now and my passengers can check their teeth for stray parsley sprigs.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~marmer">http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~marmer</a</li></ul>

Problem is, I cant get the cap covering the screw to come off. Is it a cap? or does it need some brute strength in pull it out?

You have to pry it out with a small screwdriver or other sharp object. It is harder than it looks, and you very may well gouge the edge when you do.

Underneath the cap is an ordinary Phillips-head screw.
