Vehicle Speed Sensor Location - HELP!!!

Anyone know where I can find the Vss or Vehicle Speed Sensor signal on my 99.5 Audi A4 2.8L? Where I can tap the positive lead (+)?

I am installing an aftermarket Alpine NVA-N751A/AS Nav system and this signal along with an illumination lead (parking lights) both are 12V signals required for proper install.

BTW - I called Alpine, and they told me I have to be an authorized dealer to obtain the information....

There should be a connector located near the leading edge of the left front axle. The vss signal is generated at the transmission via the axle.

Bonzai !! - found the sensor but.......

A sincere thank you for your response....

since I verified the location of the sensor aiming downward off the CV boot housing, left front axle

-- but do you know the color code? I see 2 wires red/brown and brown leading off to "nowhere" - any other way of tapping into it possibly from the passenger compartment?
