On Saturday I purchased a 1999 Audi A4 2.8 Black on Black 5-Speed. Before I even bought it, I knew I wanted to add a factory style trunk spoiler to it. I located a website (<a href="http://www.exoticwooddash.com/wi018.htm">http://www.exoticwooddash.com/wi018.htm</A>) that sells prepainted ones for $280.00. Are these things a snap to install or do they require some time and experience? I do not have experience with these type of things. I do not want to do it myself if it involves drilling holes in the lid of my trunk. If someone could tell me what all is involved in adding the wing to my car, I would appreciate it. Also, if there are places that install these things at a nominal cost, I would possibly be interested in doing that as an alternative. I live about 50 miles south of Cleveland, Ohio in the Akron/Canton area (44685).

Oh, and don't reply to tell me that spoilers ruin the look of these cars, because when I see an email sent to my inbox that I have received a reply to this thread I want it to be something that helps me in installing my spoiler, not some know-it-all who wants to tell me what I shouldn't do to the appearance of MY car.

Go to your audiworld preferences and check the box that says "Default to track threads you create or followup to?" so you can see the responses.

It says "factory style" so realize that it is a replica and not OEM. Second, spoilers are kinda heavy (mine is) and I got stronger support things that hold the trunk open (I'm not a mechanical guy!), might be something you'd like to look into. I have the LLTek carbon-fiber spoiler with brake light - Love it! Good luck with your selection.
