Default Washer Pump Relay - Windshield Washer not working

So my windshield washer pump has stopped working.

I took the pump out and checked it, it works.
I checked all fuses, they are all good.
When i pull the wiper handel back to activate the windshield washer pump the wipers wipe but the pump doesn't spray.
I've got no power at the pump when i activate the windshield washer.

My guess is that the washer relay isn't working or the handle is broke. When i pull back on the stock i can't hear or feel a relay picking up other than the one that turns on the wipers.

Which relay is the washer relay.

I can't fine a relay block diagram anywhere!

1996 A4 Quattro 2.8

Thank you.

Ya i had a look at that, but from what i've read the 96 A4's didn't have the big brown relays (i can't find it under the dash).

I tested all the relays and the coil seems to be working on all them. I guess the next step would be to make sure the rest of the relays are OK.

Thanks.

Admire your honesty . We've all missed simple things I'm sure at some point in our lives. Hopefully things will only get better from here on in.

Good Luck!

On a good note i got the headlight washers working again, at least all that screwing around wasn't a total loss haha.

Here are a few things i've learned, hopefully someone can make use of this info some day.

Windshield washer relay is in position #5, its a tall relay with 229 printed on it.
I believe the headlight washer relay is in position #6 to the right of the above.
Headlight washers only come on when the lights are also on.

Windshield washer pump is tucked in behind the washer fluid tank. Between the tank and the wheel well. It has 3 wires going to it. To get at this pump the inner wheel well needs to be loosened off.
The pump with the larger hose on it that is facing the engine is for the headlight washers. This one only has two wires going to it, yellow and red. This pump is easily accessible from under the hood.

This pertains to a 1996 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8L
