B5 A4 2.8Q stalls at idle and won't restart until cooled
So... I just bought a 98 B5 2.8. It seemed fine other than an exhaust leak a week ago. Now, after it gets up to operating temperature, it will stall. After it stalls, or if you turn it off, it will not crank back up until it has cooled down. Once it cools it starts up and runs like there isn't a problem at all. No CELs at all.
I just changed the coolant temp sensor, topped off the coolant, and fixed a broken vacuum line. That didn't help. It will turn over like there is no tomorrow but it seems like the computer is telling it to not start - I even tried to clutch kick start it and it wouldn't crank then.
Any ideas? I have seen lots of posts related to this but not too many answers other than coolant temp sensor.

Changed the crank position sensor today. It drove home fine. No stalling, No issues restarting. I hope that is all it was. Now I just have to address the dumpster fire that is my tires. Thanks for the help
