What do you think a fair price is for A4 Sport cloth seats?

I plan to get new seats and wanna sell my 98.5 1.8T Black heated sport seats w/ airbags in a few weeks. They are in very good condition, I would sell both fronts and the rear seats together. What is the going rate? Would be a nice upgrade for someone that does not have sport seats...

BSCA4 01-10-2005 07:45 PM

I love to buy them, but shipping will kill me.

Urban Rally 01-10-2005 07:45 PM

But I just can't let go of heated leather ones, never thought I'd love my ass toasty

Now, as I have become the snob about it, hate riding in others' cars where "me bum's gone numb again, right up the left cheek."

qfrog Ti20 01-10-2005 07:46 PM

A full set of seats is worth between 400 and 500 usd.

maybe more if they are perfect.

BSCA4 01-10-2005 07:49 PM

I have seen they go for 300 to 350. Too bad, none of them in SoCal.

RAD69 01-10-2005 08:09 PM

Oooops, I forgot - they are HEATED!

Urban Rally 01-10-2005 08:10 PM

Oh you devil, you do you tempt me so?

RAD69 01-10-2005 08:10 PM

Not yet, really just a feeler. I am waiting on S4 seats. I am in NJ.

AudiAddict B7 01-10-2005 08:12 PM

Do you have Pics?

RAD69 01-10-2005 08:13 PM

The fronts are perfect!

The rears have a small tear on the side of the seat in back where it meets the carpet. You can only see it when the seat is folded down.

RAD69 01-10-2005 08:15 PM

No, I could get pics Thursday night. I am really curious if I could get decent $$.

AudiAddict B7 01-10-2005 08:19 PM

What do you consider to be decent dollars, I guess thats the real question

RAD69 01-10-2005 08:23 PM

Hehe - that is the reason I posted this thread... I do not know.

I have seen just the front seats go for $400. If I got $500 for the whole set, I would be thrilled.

AudiAddict B7 01-10-2005 08:36 PM

Judging from Phil's response your expectations are on target.

kennyc 01-10-2005 08:50 PM

I used to have a set of cloth front sport seats for sale...

as BSCA4 said, the shipping really drove a lot of potential buyers away.

I think I sold my front for ~$220 and had to charge the buyer extra $150 for shipping.

Urban Rally 01-10-2005 09:07 PM

See, again he temps me so, I'd drive to jersey to pick them up...

think a whole other set of seats could fit in the trunk with the rears folded down? I'd hate to grab my dad's mountaineer and hook up the busted up old wooden pickup bed like trailer

kennyc 01-10-2005 09:13 PM

yes it would...

AudiAddict B7 01-10-2005 09:34 PM

Remove your back seat first, replace it with his, that leaves two : )

kennyc 01-10-2005 09:43 PM

That's how I got my current seats home from PA...

you have to remove the rears or else they won't fit!

TristanP 01-11-2005 08:43 AM

Wow, wish I had $500 to throw your way

I'd take them in a heartbeat and drive over the river to pick them up.

s4wood 01-11-2005 09:03 AM

You put an S4 engine /harness/ecu in your 1.8T?

Wow..cool.

s4wood 01-11-2005 09:04 AM

These are the jacquard satin ones?

Silver Streakin' 01-11-2005 11:13 AM

working on it. rear sub frame and rear diff are in. harness is almost out of the S. takes time...

s4wood 01-11-2005 12:31 PM
