What parts from a 2001 S4 are compatible with a 98 A4

I have my original cd in dash stereo & changer, Suspension parts (replaced with coilover suspension from stasis). Will these parts be easily installed in my friends 98 a4 1.8t?

His main concern is the stereo, secondly the cd changer (I think the trunk won't have a mounting bracket) I don't see how the suspension won't match up since the Koni/Stasis kit was originally intended for a4's.

1.8T or 2.8?

Because of the extra weight of the 2.7T over the 1.8T, the front springs of the S4 will make the A4 front end appear jacked up beyond stock levels :-)

Pretty much nothing from your car will be an easy or desireable swap..

the headunit will not be a direct swap. The changer should work. He could use the shocks from the S, but probably will want to use aftermarket or the original springs for an A4.

The suspension should transfer over to the A4 if it is a quattro.....

KMHPALADIN has H&R coilovers made for the S4, on his A4.

but if it's the OEM suspension, it will fit, but not be correct.

at least if it's a 1.8T. The front end will be lifted up pretty high with S4 springs up there.

There's a few pictures in the archives of A4 1.8Ts with S4 suspension installed... it's quite entertaining ;)

Headlights are a nice upgrade from the old 2-piece style.

With some minor fender trimming and wire splicing required.
