Default A lot of people on AW have FT they just keep the fact hidden. ;-)

I think most in the US have q,I think it's the other way around in Europe.

FWD here, there seems to be much more FWD A4's in socal than anywhere else

I agree. We never see any Mercedes with cloth seat here in the states.

Default you obviously havn't seen the new c230 sport coupe/hatch back thing...

i've also seen cloth volvo's, saab's, bmw's, among other cars......

I live in SoCal so I thought I didn't really need quattro's extra weight (not to mention it does slow down a bit). I remember I read an article by Ann Job on CarPoint.com saying that more than 80%(?) of A4 1.8Ts sold in the U.S. r equipped w/ quattro and manual. No regret but if I were to buy another Audi (Brilliant Black TT 225QC *drooling*)again I'd get quattro for sure.

Dont agree. Its great when I go skiing in Mammoth. Also you know how slick the roads get here when it does finally rain... it saved me once in just such a situation. Remember its AWD for road use not off-road. Think of it like ABS. You rarely use it, but when you need it you'll be glad you had it.
