Ooh, just looked at your sig... it'll take you a lot longer to debadge than the newer MY's
The 00 and 01 guys can probably debadge their car in like 20 minutes. Your badges are probably caked on by now. I have a 98.5 and finally debadged when the car was about 3 years old. I used a hair dryer (to death I might add) intermittently and often. Even parked the car out in the hot sun for a while to loosen up the adhesive b4 starting the debadging. THen, used Goo Gone, since it's mild compared to Goof Off and some other removers. That took off the badge (with the dryer, of course), but the adhesive that was caked on from many years of sun and weather, was still there. Add in more Goo Gone (with water to clean the surrounding area - just a precaution), soaking the area and letting the Goo Gone set in - that should take care of the rest of adhesive. Estimated time is at least an hour, hour 1/2 time - seriously. I then used GS27 (a scratch remover), polish and wax to clean up the shadow left over from the badges. Total job took me about 2 1/2 hrs. to 3. It was a PITA, but worth it.
