Would getting new springs be enough? Somebody mentioned to not even think about getting new springs w/o sport shocks because the shocks'll wear out fast. Are the sport package shocks considered "sport"? Would it be wise to just replace the springs in my case?
Since H&R HD springs are not an option for quattros, what should I look at?
I'd like to drop my car about one inch for aesthetic purposes. I am quite content with the sport package handling, so my main priority is to maintain the ride quality of the sport package in as much as possible.
thanks for your input,
Gus

Default It's physically impossible.

If you lower the car you lose suspension travel. If you lose suspension travel and don't stiffen up the springs, the car will bottom out.
Even Audi can't figure out how to do what you want obviously since the sport suspension rides stiffer than the non-sport.

Default I realize that, it's why I used words like "as much as possible". I'm just looking for the alternative that compromises the ride comfort the least

Then the best you can really do is use progressive rate springs. On some cars dropped spindles are an option but I've never heard of anybody making these for the A4. The geometry of the 4-link suspension would probably get totally screwed up anyway.
