I have a 1997 A4 Quattro, the 2.8L model. The front seats both have heaters (only passenger side works, one reason I want to replace them), drivers side is electric, passenger is manual seats. Drivers seat is so worn and uncomfortable you feel the frame inside, and the felt fabric isn't much nice either.

From my research on the forums, all B5 seats should fit as long as I'm not converting from power to manual or vise versa. So my understanding is if for say I get 2001 leather seats for both passenger and drivers, both heated, and electric for drivers side, would they fit plug and play? Or do I need modifications ? Additionally, as a cheaper option how hard would it be to just do manual on both sides but still have heated seats ?
