What size speakers are in the Bose system? Any stereo upgrade suggestions??

What size speakers are in the Bose system? Any stereo upgrade suggestions??
It seems I've blown one of those crappy Bose speakers (lft rear door). I went to my stereo guy and he said I could replace with the same, or upgrade all of the speakers (and amp). But, he didn't think the fitting book he had was correct b/c it mentioned speakers in the dash. Anyway, now I'm looking at MB Quarts and an Alpine amp (ouch, the money), but need to know what size speakers are in the car at all positions. Anyone replace their "no highs no lows, gotta be Bose" speakers and amps. BTW, I replaced the headunit a couple of years ago with the Blaupunkt Toronto unit (love it). TIA
