Wheels and Tires or just tires
 

I am looking for feed back concerning what to do...
I have 17 inch MAS Presidents that need new tires all around due to a alignment issue one of the wheels have slight rash on them, I think that they are good wheels, they came with the car when I bought it last year. Or should I just dump them and get 18 inch wheels with tires.
If I kept the MAS wheels what tires would you put on them?

Get 18's if your car is lowered.

this is the exact same dilemma I went through 3 days ago.
 

I hate the look of my wheels and I couldn't justify spending $600 on tires for them. So I decided I might as well spend some more and get the wheels I want.

So I did.

They get installed tomorrow :)

it is on sport suspension. I wish I was lowered but that dreaded Timing belt is just around the corner, I am at 58500 miles so I am almost there.

What wheels did you get?

If you like the look of the wheels just get tires. Unless you are all about looks, 17s are the

thanks, I have a 2000 Volcano Black car just with out Stage 3 LOL...
any way thanks I may just get tires do you have any suggestions?

I would get some new wheels maybe, but keep them in 17" trim
 

17's are lighter, and have decent sidewall to protect your wheel from the road. IIRC Mike (Audi2ptzero) said that a chipped A4 ran a full second slower with 19" vs 17" wheels. Just remember that when you have all that bling on your mind...

How agressively do you drive? What tires do you have now? Were you happy with them? If you have money to spend some S 03's are great tires, Pilot Sports are popular as well.
