When i disconnect the battery do i only lose the radio code?
Do i have to go to the dealer and pay there stupid asses to get the code, or can i use a VAG or some other way? Thanks

yeah the radio will ask for the code. read more....
I had to do the same thing. I don't have the link, but i read somewhere how to reset the code. Also, the defaulet code is something like 0000. If you try this, it will probably work. most people dont ever reset it from default. I suggest you just do a google search. You will probably find it.

If you manage to put 0000 in as the code you can be locked out forever..
In the manual it specifically warns you about doing that. As for most people not changing it from default.Where did you get that info? The radio manufacturer hard codes the unit, the owner has no option to change it.

Re: it will come back in safe mode and the code is required.
i just changed my battery also and my head unit is in safe mode. i don't have the code so is there any other way to get it other than paying audi $100 to do it.
