I went to 3 places and have only found Thule. Being in CT, and Thule's US HQ's are in CT, this may have something to do with it.

I'm more interested in the Yakima as it appears to have a contoured fairing as opposed to the flat on from Thule. Also the round bars should be stronger.

Thule prices (best of three places)
LB50 bars - $38
400 Feet - $100
249 Fit Kit - $38
555 Fairing - $50
725 6 pr. Horizontal Ski/Snowboard - $100
6 pack locks - $50

total = $376 + tax

I would imagine I can do better online since these are basically E.M.S. prices, right? But where?

Hey Mark,
I bought mine local from Outdoor Sports on Rt 7 in Wilton. They are very friendly and evne installed everything at no extra charge. It would have taken me 1-2 hours to figure everything out - they did it in 25 minutes and showed me how everything worked.

They have a discount website www.outdoorsports.com and call themselves Roof Racks Direct where you can see all the pricing for both Thule and Yak stuff. The store actually has everything marked at retail but they will give you their internet price if you ask (Speak with Brian).

Good luck.
Chris
ps - thanks for the "on the border" sticker - it looks great!

Load Bars (2), Feet/Towers and a "fit kit" - $158.50
6 pr. Horizontal Ski/Snowboard - $100 - $88.00
6 pack locks - $45
555 Fairing - $47
-------------------------------------------
total - $338.50 + tax (unless you ship outside of CT but then you shipping costs)

Default RRutabaga is excellent

They quote list prices for individual pieces but give steep discounts when total orders are over $200.

Try a Canadian retailer - prices are about the same but you win on the conversion
