Why is the APR stage III turbo upgrade twice as much as the turbo upgrade from awe?
Does the APR stage III for 3995.00 include the APR exhaust? Which kit is preferred?

You are comparing apples to oranges....
APR uses a hybrid ball-bearing turbo, completely reengineered exhaust manifold, new catalytic converter, injectors, FPR and all the necessary hardware to make it work. You can expect 290 - 300 HP from this kit.
AWE uses a K04 that bolts to your factory exhaust manifold and the injectors and FPR. You can expect about 240 HP with this kit.
So, take a closer look at both products and decide which is a better value for you.
BTW... neither kit includes a free-flow exhaust, but one is highly recommended for either kit.
Hope that helps,

they haven't updated the A4 Stage 3 and 3+ stuff in a while...
I believe Ed's old car was making 251 hp at the wheels on 93 octane fuel on their dyno...that is about 300 hp at the crank. I'd say expect about 30 more hp with race fuel and race fuel programming.
