Wife's buying a Volvo. Comments?
 

Our neighbor is selling a one-owner 1994 Volvo 850 with about 69K for about $9,000. It's been well maintained. It's a decent looker -- dark green, leather, heated seats, sunroof, etc. Not the turbo.

She's going to sell her '87 BMW convertible -- it has only 48k on it, believe it or not. She hardly ever has the top down, and we don't use the car much except for commuting.

I'd love for her to buy another BMW or Audi, but the price seems right on this Volvo.

Anyone have experience with the 850 series. It seems to have decent acceleration (168 hp) and handles OK. Quiet ride, far more comfortable than the '87 BMW.

I had an 850 glt wagon, i thought it was a wonderful car!

We have one (same series) and had no problems. Nice cars, not as sporty though as the Audi...

tell her to get a new Volvo S60 T5! That thing ROCKS!!

I think thats a little different price range!

NOOOOO...... I got out of a 850 turbo to A4... 850 is extremely unreliable....

Sounds like a good valuel assuming mechanically ok and has passed inspection. Nice car.
