Default will a symphony head unit WORK in place of a concert head unit in other words...

will the wiring harness work so i can hook up the head unit in my A4.

you have to buy a new ashtray and a few other pieces and a mounting bracket

Default You'd have to replace the whole center console, which is PITA.

Why not just try to install a '02 TT Concert headunit.

Default yeah i check on that too and someone said something like the CAM speed or the electronics are...

different, im not sure what he was talking about but he did sound as though he knew what he was talking about. I wonder if what he was saying as it is programmed for the TT's car and maybe it could be programmed through the VAG TOOL?

Default I think the person was referring to SVC...

SVC (Speed-sensitive Volume Compensation). Unless Audi made some major changes to the '02 TTs, I'd think the '02 Concert units would work, since '00 - '01 TTs share the same Concert units w/ the A4.

Default first question what year is your car ?

that is important, because it all depends if want to have clean installation or you going to need some modification to fit your existing pieces...
