I just bought a 1997 a4 B5 AHU Avant and Is dont know how to resolve this problem:

My windows dont move up if I close the car by key, and also dont move down if I open the locks. Even if i let it turned for 10 seconds.

My central lock does lock if i reach 20km/h, the direction light blink if I close locks.

Where do i have to look for the problem? I tried to reprogram the central lock module, but i dont know the original radio was symphony or concert....

Please Help ME if you can sorry for bad english!

A previous owner may have changed the programming. Only way I know is to have Ross' VAG COM and look at the programming. These are features that can be turned off and on with the VAG COM. A dealer or a specialty Audi indie shop can do this also.

I have tried all the codes, I have vag but nothing happens.

Is it possible that this function works only if the central lock is remote controlled originally? Because mine is not a remote controlled one.

HI , I had a B5 a few years ago without remote closure. But im quite sure it still made the windows go up and down with the key in the door.
