Default worn after 30k mi on my michelin pilot sport a/s?

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/59717/photo.jpg"></center><p>i definitely feel as if they're worn, but wanna make sure its not just in my head

the actual tread on them is certainly worn a bit, but looks like there still could be some life left. the problem is the traction in the snow this winter has been poor. the actual tires appear hard and a little cracked around the sidewall...

i was looking into a possible winter setup (steel wheels and dedicated winter tires) but i decided i'm gonna get the same michelin pilot sport a/s because i do remember them performing so well when they were new

the wear isn't just in my head is it? is 30k after 4 yrs normal?

(also roadtripping from ks to the rocky mtns after new years for about a week)

Default Those aren't snow tires, they won't have good traction in cold/snowy/icy weather, even when new.

If you drive conservatively, there is probably 5k+ of warm weather miles left on those.

Default that's a lot of heat cycling for 4 years. What's the treadwear supposed to be?

Swapping out tires every 4 years doesn't sound bad at all.

Default they've done surprisingly well in the snow

...when new

obviously not near a winter tire, but unless i wanna be swapping wheels and etc...i don't mind the all seasons

i would agree though, 5k or so of warm weather driving

thanks
