New Tubular Manifold for the Transverse 1.8T VW MKIV for custom turbo applications

The new ECS Tuning Tubular manifold is in final stages of development. The primary benefit of this manifold design is relocation of the turbo for simpler intake plumbing. Initially the manifold will offered to those who are interested in creating their own turbo upgrade kit for their own vehicle.

Manifolds with different turbo flanges will be offered, including T3/T4 and Garrett GT series. Finishes included hand polishing or high-quality ceramic based thermal coatings.

All manifolds will be offered with a 100% replacement warranty against cracking or structural failure.

The goal of this project and product has been to offer an affordable quality built manifold for those who are building custom turbo solutions. Pricing and product availability have yet to be determined.

Keep your eyes on the ECS Tuning web page for the latest details.

I bet they'll have one for us soon. You K04 guys should give it a try, if they make an application for it - which it doesn't sound like that's their market but it could be if you speak your mind.

Default Looks alot like the tube manifold done by Innovative Turbo Systems.

It wont work for a K04 because it will put the turbo in a new spot, causing the person to have to make custom parts just to bolt up the exhaust and IC tube.

Default I dont think there would be much to gain since the stock manifold is not really the

problem or cork when it comes to a K04 setup.

Default But it seems that the main advantage here is turbo relocation.....

...and furthermore, the option to use a different turbo.

the finished product should have thermal expansion slots around the block flange.

Default You have to relocate where the flange sits to use a larger turbo

other wise it will be to far forward to fit a intake hose on. This is not needed when just upgrading to a K04.
