Default WTF! water in the secondary air injection pump?

Subject: 2000 1.8tq wagon. I've had some issues with this car that I'm now getting closer to figuring out. Why in the world would I be getting water in the secondary air injection pump after a few days of driving? It is happening on a regular basis now. Pump has been sounding weird in the mornings, so I took off the lower hose to it and water poured out of it. No, it is not coming from an outside source like splashback from the wheels while driving in the rain. And it is not antifreeze/coolant. This seems to be clean water. Water is also in the valve located just on top of the turbo intake hose, the one above the wastegate frequency valve. So, it seems to be somehow sucking it from the condensation in the exhaust system but what part or component has failed to make this happen? I'm open to any suggestions. THANKS!

Default known problem...replace the combi valve.

this is from a published "tech tip" that was sent to all audi dealers. show this to your dealership.
if you dont replace the valve each pump you install will crap out. i really hope you searched the archives.

"In the event you have an A4 1.8T with engine code ATW with the DTC of 16795 - Secondary Air Injection system, Incorrect flow Detected, a leaking Combination valve could be the problem. A leaking valve causes exhaust gas to enter the secondary air system. The water from exhaust condensation travels through the entire secondary air injection system and if the temperature drops below 0 degrees Celsius the water will freeze. In most cases the water causes the air pump to corrode. Inspecting the combination valve will reveal the problem. If the Intake side of the valve is black, exhaust has entered the secondary air injection system."
