WTK: any difference between turbo PN 058 145 703 h and the J?Need PN for oil line for turbo.
I got an opporutnity to purchase a used turbo buts it the 058 145 703 h.
It looks the same and everything else but is there a difference?
Also need oil line for the turbo PN.
I can get a rebuilt one for 595 with warranty.
But I still have a feeling its not the turbo because the dealer replaced it last year.
Is there anything else I can check just to make sure?

yes there have been a few versions of that turbocharger... 6 to be exact... then a reman of the forementioned 6... so 7 to be exact.

J is the one currently in my car.. so what do I do
What am I going to lose by going to a H version or something?
It's not gonna burn out or anything?
Hey Frog.. what about those rebuild kits on Ebay? Are those real.. can someone at home rebuild their turbo with these kits?

You could go with the L version which was stock on the 2000's.
Should be almost as good as the J, it was able to move enough air to get me 250hp/300tq and run 14.290 at 97 mph in the 1/4.

by the way its #17 in that pic....
depending what year you ahve, get the heat shield too (26 or 27 both point to it) it has been ugraded and protects better.
oh and is it just me or do these parts drawings look like a drunk did them? shake much?
