you ever have a sh!tty day... i think tonight was one of the worst reminders of where i stand
I went to a coffee shop to study for my test in a couple days. If I get out of the house, it forces me to study. I was sitting in a corner, studying when a drunk guy walks in. He starts off with the usual "oh fvck i want some fvcking coffee"
Only 3 of us in the shop.. so meh whatever. He gets his coffee and sits at the table across from me...
after a little bit he pipes up. "**** YOU KNOW IT FEELS GOOD TO BE WHITE AND CANADIAN.. YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT THE **** THAT FEELS LIKE ****ING HINDU"
meh whatever, i've heard worse, my hands were shaking at this point, and i wanted to beat the **** out of him, but no... school is important. I continue reading, when he stands up and says "dali lama dali lama dali lama! Lets all pray like a ****ing hindu, you brown piece of ****..dali lama x100"... alright whatever.. a guy speaks up from behind him "wow you are ignorant i'm surprised he hasn't hit you yet"
i responded "meh whatever it's not worth it"
he continues on "god i love being white, you know being treated fairly, having a good life. You, you will never feel this, to walk into a room and be equal ... oh well"
staff asked him to leave.. he left. I was pissed, in kind of a blind rage... thought "**** it let it go.. go for a drive"... was flying along at about 70mph... coming around a bend..blue milk crate in the road.. whatever ..

I'd laugh it off...
And make damn sure he heard the laugh and saw the smirk on your face! Ask him...if his life is so perfect, why is he stumbling through a coffee shop drunk on a Monday night proclaiming how great it is to be him? Ask him about his wife, family, job, just keep prodding until you find the pain points...and then turn the knife and laugh.
While you're working to do something with your life, his is lying in the bottom of a bottle.
And for god's sake...don't take it out on the milk crate next time! It never did anything to you!

Ouch, sorry Mandeep. That sucks, really sucks... you are a bigger man than most.
