2002 1.8T Avant Quattro vs used 2000 A6 2.8 L Avant Quattro
I have the opportunity of purchasing a new 2002 A4 1.8T Avant Quattro or a loaded used 2000 A6 2.8L Avant Quattro (25,000km) for about the same $$ ..... which should I purchase? I'm looking for advice specifically around advantages of either in utility, performance & reliability

They're really two different cars.
Tip or Manual? The A6 2.8 tip is notoriously slow. Do you want size or sport? Do you often have adults in the back? Style or fuel economy concerns? They're really two different cars.

I was looking at A6 Avants to *replace* my 02 A4.Got an old A4 Avant, considered Passat.Wagons rule!
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/27563/console.jpg"></center><p>interior space was not good on the 2002 A4 as far as I'm concerned. A6 Avant's cargo space was the same as Passat's. Passat had great kneeroom. I ended up with my 4th A4, second Avant. After a few engine lights, I kinda wish I got the new V6 4 Motion Passat Wagon.
