6-speed M/T leak common?
Hey everyone - new Audi owner here and have a question
I've had nothing but issues with my Audi since I bought it and this is just another for the books. Found a softball sized puddle of red fluid on my garage floor this morning (and a few drips here and there the last few weeks). It's a 6-speed M/T and I'm wondering if these leaks are common and what what I should be looking for when I jack it up.
I'm not sure how long I should be driving it with this ongoing. Oddly enough, this only started happening when I started to hear groans come from the underside of my car after replacing the transmission mount with a stiffer aftermarket one. Any possibility these could be related?
Anyways, if you could let me know your thoughts, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

General rule is to stiffen the motor mounts before you go doing the tranny mounts.
the problem could be related..
you need to investigate a bit more to find were if is coming from.
it could also be your rear tail flange radial seal (common problem) or the drive shaft (axle) flange seals.
EDIT: If it is dripping around the transmission tail flange seal..where the drive shaft connects..remember that our entire unit comes out with the flange itself..it is spring loaded.
Just take the unit to a transmission shop and have it pressed out, the seal replaced and put back together. Pay attention to the order of the parts as they came out..
