Are the A4 consider a compact car?
I got the specifications on a Audi A4 and a Honda Civic sedan and they seem similar.

whether or not a car is a company is measured by total interior size including trunk space (in cubic inches). Exterior dimensions or weight do not have anything to do with classification.
I believe A4 is a Compact just like most European cars. A6 and BMW 5 series are alos compacts under EPA classification.
The only exception to the rule is if a car sits 6 person, it is automatically a "full size" no matter how small it is... For example, Toyota Avalon is no bigger than a Camry but because you can order it as a 6 passenger car, it is not a midsize but a "full size"
