Default Is the B6 platform shared with Passat??!
Some other impressions that Phil had during the month related to the tight feel of the cabin. The A4 is built on the same platform as the VW Passat but the two cars give a different feeling to the driver. The Passat feels open and roomy; the A4 feels tight, though not restrictive.

I dont think it is?

i thought the new passat was based on an updated b5 chasis aka b5.5 ?

True, the B5/B5.5 use the same subframe. Not shared the with the Audi B6.

Keep in mind that the Passat is "stretched" compared to the A4 - longer wheelbase, etc for more room

Default Perhaps.. the last news I had heard, VW's new/MkV platform would cover almost their entire model (m)
range from The Golf to the Passat. It's a completely new, highly modular design.

I could be wrong though...
