B6 Turn Signal Not Working

B6 Turn Signal Not Working
Hi All, I have a 2004 A4. Front left turn signal wont flash. All other bulbs including the side maker on the left side will flash. Hazard flashers all work except left front. No indication of a bulb out on the dash display.
What i have done so far.....
replaced bulb
replaced socket
switched head light with other side.
probed with a test light the right side, the power wire flashes fine, probed the left side wire no power going to the wire that should flash the bulb.
ran power to the left side wire and the bulb does come on.
So i would think its a break in the power wire to left side. But i would think a break in that wire would show a bulb out.
If it was a turn signal switch i dont think the left side marker light would flash.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Double check that you have used the correct bulb.
I can't recall if the turn-signals have a bulb out. One way to check would be to remove the left side bulb and see if the "bulb out" light comes on.
If it does not, then I think you have pretty much confirmed that the power line to the bulb has a break somewhere.

The broken bulb warning would probably be looking for an open circuit.
You must have a short; current still flows but doesn't reach the bulb because it finds a path with lower resistance.
If you take the headlight assembly and inspect the wires maybe you find that some are shorting ...
I've just repaired to some extent the wiring on my A6, I was not having problems but lot's of wires were exposed.
