Thanks Chris, this is the type of info I was interested in. I have heard Redline ATF was a good product and was looking for some opinions from those who have tried it or another product.

well, super Mobil has been in my trans for 10 months and 20 000km with no problem. Still feels great and my milage has gone from 360km per tank Hwy to 580km Hwy. Hope this puts to rest some fears of Audi only fluids.

Audi would love to charge you for a replacement tranny change your fluid if you want to keep it good I changed mine when I bought it at 120k filter was clogged got some shaking on the highway and had shifting until it was hot I changed it with amsoil dcf (dual clutch fluid) because it's similar to atf but better with heat that the tiptronic puts out it has higher boiling point I always drive in sport mode im now at 201k time for another change but you couldn't tell still shifts like butter no slipping very impressed with the fluid my car took about 5.8 quarts with new filter literally saved my tranny used to shift late and hard 6th gear would slip during shifting get better gas mileage shake went away I also changed all 3 differential fluid Mobil 75w90 drives like a caddy

Old thread, but all I have used for years, in three different 5HP19's is Valvoline Maxlife synthetic ATF. No shudder, nice shifts, no worries.
