BMW xenons vs. Audi xenons
On my way home this evening, I was on a dark stretch of Rt. 128, and new M3 comes flying up beside me. For some reason I can't quite determine, he then slowed down and we drove right next to each other for about 10 minutes (with a lane between us). I noticed as we were doing this that his xenons are definitely brighter and bluer than mine... I've noticed this before. Do bimmers just get nicer bulbs stock than we do? (Right before I got off, we had a race from 60 to 100... I think he was using 6th... I used 3rd...)

Hehe...despite all of the scientific data that supports Audi's Xenon's as being superior to BMW's...
for overall brightness (bluer is usually not brighter), I think the bimmer's Xenon's kick *** 
(Hey...I'm a city boy surrounded by street lamps...couldn't possibly care less about Kelvins!! :-)

What? i also thought Audi's Xenon's were...
brighter than bmw's. at least the Audi's more blue
i had a 325ci with Xenon's, it appear more white and heard that the whiteness fades as it ages.
also one of the Xenons failed on me after a few months.
i luv Audi's bluish tint that shifts colors at diff angles.

Never paid attention to what particular model/year BMW that has them...but anytime I've been...
truly wowed by oncoming Xenons (not blinded...just impressed), it turns out to be a bimmer (or some uknown SUV that I've seen a once or twice).
May not apply to all bimmers though...parts are always changing.

Heard Audi switched Xenons from blue to whiter style this year
My TT's are blue and very bright. People actually complain that they blind drivers. I think that's why they've shifted to different style lights. Personally, I think Xenons can sometimes be overkill. They tend to **** off other drivers who think you are flashing brights on them.

Bimmer people claim Audi's are bluer
We have Xenons in our bimmer but not the Audi so I cannot compare.
The thing that bimmer has over Audi when it comes to xenon is they have bi-xenons:-) The bright Xenon's kick butt.

The X5 must have the absolute blues xenons on the market. It really looks like they have 6000K bulbs as the stock HIDs. I also like how the Audi's lights change colors depending on the viewing angle,but I'd say that they look to be more purple than actual blue. I put them side by side with my girlfriend's LS430 and her lights were definitely much bluer than mine, but mine illuminated a larger area.
