Default Control boost with a manual boost controller, or better, a electronic add on boost controller...
the fuel injectors can flow enough to handle up to ~14 psig without lean out.

If I don't want to chip it, can I still boost it with that manual boost controller?

Yes, but an electronic controller is much better, a mbc causes drivablitly problems.
