Saw this CAI at the SB GTG...
I did something very similar and the car ran good for a day, then the car would cut in and out at higher RPM's, then idle funny. Then a CEL came on, and when vaggad gave back the irratic idle info. The MAF didn't like it. I don't think it will work, but maybe they'll iron out the MAF issues. I think this is why they haven't released it and why Carbonio hasn't released there's either. To me the stock airbox is as good as it gets.

The intake has been in my car for 2 months, no problems (And it has been in BoostedTech's car even
longer)
I have also had a similar custom CAI setup for about a year now. I have never encountered the problems that you mention.
The reason BoostedTech intakes have not been released is because they are awaiting parts to complete the kit. That is all.

Glad to hear you've encountered no problems. But why haven't they released it yet? And why hasn't Carboino as well. How's the FMIC? Big difference there I bet! Looks real good behind your bumper, which bumper is that? I had a heck of a time installing my OCT behind my Caractere, after market bumpers you would think would have more room, but the stock ones have alot of space in there.

I love the FMIC though, I've been having fun thrashing my car around in 90+ degree weather. It's great! Better than I imagined.
Yeah, you'd think aftermarket bumpers would have more FMIC clearance, but they actually have less...kind of ridiculous if you think about it.
