Is the brake wear warning light only for the front brakes?

Is the brake wear warning light only for the front brakes?

It came on on my way in to work this morning. The dealer had mentioned last time I was in that the car would need rear brakes soon, but from what I have found through searching, only the fronts have wear sensors.

yeah it pisses me off that they couldn't put sensors on the rear as well

how hard could that be

Front inside pads have the sensor. For the outside, you have to look yourself.
